This Sunday was Confirmation Sunday at our church! A time when young people from our congregation who have been studying the Word, stand up and confess their faith and prepare their hearts to take communion. Each student picks a confirmation verse for them to hold close to their heart for their whole life. Today’s verse, chosen by Lily Hajenga, is Psalm 27:1. This verse shows us that when we have God’s word, we have God’s light! Imagine being in a dark house without any light to help you navigate threw it, or driving down a rural road without a flashlight or headlights. When you turn on a light a sense of relief passes through you and you can manage much better. A little light goes a long way! The darker the darkness, the brighter the light shines!
